What is postural assessment?
A postural and functional assessment, is an observational assessment that is the primary stage of assessing the need/approach for physical therapy.
It focuses on studying the body’s alignment and functionality, including a range of flexibility, mobility and strength testing as required.
The purpose of this is to determine if there are any postural deviations, imbalances, muscle weaknesses, or movement pattern faults which could be causing pain, discomfort, muscle imbalances and injury.
Advise and corrective measures can then be put into place, including mobility and training plans.
What are the benefits of sports massage?
Sports massage can help with muscle tension, flexibility, and range of motion. It can also help with pain, and speeding up recovery following exercise, helping to increase overall performance, whilst helping to reduce the risk of injuries.
It is also great for decreasing anxiety, improving sleep patterns, and creating a sense of well-being.
